Having a website is an effective way of communicating with your school's wider community, including parents, pupils, governors and prospective pupils, as well as international students.

What's so good....
About this system? The main factor is being fully editable and updateable, but more than this, is that it's editable and updateable anywhere! You do not need any special software, just your web browser e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.
It is editable and updateable from ANY computer! Which means you can update, edit, delete, add and manage from school, in any classroom, from home, from your neighbours, from your hotel. Take a trip to Greece and find an Internet café. On a sports trip to another school....any computer means ANY COMPUTER! Even a laptop in the middle of nowhere, as long as there is an internet connection.
This is great for children and staff, in that, if this is the way the site is set up, they can log in from home and work on their news items, stories or web pages. Or from the library, their neighbours, a relative....
But more than this, it can also be updated from a mobile phone or an E-Mail account....editing pages from a mobile phone is possible too. Sending in an email to your site's front page, a news item, is easy and convenient, thanks to the mail-to-weblog feature. Even better when there's a picture. This can be done from many phone/camera mobiles these days. It can take a minute or so to snap, write some text and send a picture to the website.
Imagine school sports day. A school trip. A special event. A quiet 5 minutes in your comfy chair in the staff room. You can update from all these places and more.
